Welcome to Arwa Writes where neuroscience is made fun and simple

Here’s a slice of the internet where you can learn the most interesting things about cognitive psychology, neuroscience, research and being a scientist.

Brains are amazing: they aid in appreciating beautiful things, making complex decisions and, for some people, memorising all the digits of pi.

Who are you?

Maybe you are a parent whose child questioned, “why do I have a brain?” Maybe you are a college student who is interested in pursuing a career in neuroscience. Perhaps you are a teacher that needs to find some information on neuroscience topics or activities for your class. Whoever you are, I’m glad you want to learn more about what goes on in the space between your ears.

Feel free to contact me and tell me about yourself, your science background, and share what the most important neuroscience topic is to you. I’d love to get to know you so I can better serve you.

What you can expect

  • Fortnightly blog posts
  • Written for both non-scientists and scientists
  • Open to ideas, and feedback: please let me know if you like/don’t like something, if anything is confusing, or if there is a topic you’d like to see covered
